The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 50-year-old Nitin Patel, who has reported an address change to a residence on Lee Avenue in Ossining.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Patel a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Patel had repeated sexual contact with his 4-year-old victim in Westchester in November 1996. He was convicted of three counts of first-degree sexual abuse in May 1998 and sentenced to five years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Ossining Village Police Department.

Further info on Patel from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
